The offKILTR Street Feastival, a celebration of food, music and culture returns to The Barras market in Glasgow, on the 4th, 5th and 6th October. Racket Racket will be there.
Once again, you can expect an exciting pop-up festival experience with a wide range of food stalls provided by a selection of the finest Glasgow culinary institutions coupled with a very impressive array of new kids on the block – Harajuku Kitchen, Smoak, Fire In Babylon Roots Kitchen, Black Rabbit, Soba, Babu Bombay Street Kitchen, Roast, Deeney’s and many more.
A team of well-known and respected local DJs will provide a chilled and sunny, global soundtrack to enjoy these two weekends of celebration too – David Barbarossa, Andrew Divine, Pro Vinylist Karim, The Earl, Bobby Cleaver, Jim Hutchison, Telford, Hometown Social Club, Ewan Chambers, We Can Still Picnic and Andy (me!) from Racket Racket will be supplying the sounds. All playing music they wouldn’t normally be asked to in a nightclub. A more mellow vibe to suit the laid-back, festival environment.
The event, the first of KILTR‘s new series of events around Scotland and further afield, runs from 5pm – 1pm on the Friday night, and then 1pm – 11pm on both Saturday and Sunday. If you’re a KILTR member you get in for free, everyone else pays £2.
Keep an eye on KILTR.com/streetfeastival for additional information over the coming weeks. And here’s the Facebook Event page too.
