Here’s Black Uhuru with their 1984 bass heavy masterpiece, Solidarity. One of our favourites from the prolific and mighty Sly & Robbie.
Taken from the Black Uhuru LP, Anthem the track was actually written by (Little) Steven Van Zandt guitarist with Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band who also played Silvio Dante in The Sopranos. You learn something new every day.
We really love the fashions the band are sporting and the dancing in the video but, above all, the sentiment in the lyrics and the bass in the music.
Everybody wants the same thing don’t they?
