Back in February 2010, Radio Magnetic curated a showcase of Glasgow independent music videos from through the years as part of the Glasgow Short Film Festival.
The aim of the screening was to try and tell something of a chronological audio visual history of Glasgow’s diverse independent music heritage and lineage through the music of certain pivotal artists and bands; and the promo video makers who worked closely with them. It kicked off with Orange Juice and ended with Hudson Mohawke with videos from the likes of Close Lobsters, Nectarine No.9, Belle and Sebastian, Arab Strap, Franz Ferdinand, Camera Obscura, Funk D’Void and Lord Cut Glass along the way.
