This five minute snippet comes from Sukiyaki and Chips – The Japanese Sounds of Music. Really wish we could share the whole documentary with you but can’t find it online sadly. On the Christmas wish list so maybe next year.
Watch the video then have a look at the sleeves for the first five YMO LPs. Each one of them a classic of experimental electronic music from the timeless group – Haroumi Hosono, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Yukihiri Takahashi and Tomita’s right hand man, Logic System AKA Hideki Matsutake.
